CapemayX.com Video Shorts — There's no better way to brand and market your Cape May business or service!

I've had numerous inquiries over the last fey days about online digital video. There certainly are many benefits to using a branded video short to help marketing your business. But one of the most important benefits, and you'll hear me say this over and over — is that once the video is complete, that clip can be streamed into your own website. It's simple and easy and almost instantaneously increases the reach and frequency of your brand and marketing message.

CapemayX.com digital videos can be streamed to your website

Take a look at the Chalfonte home page. CapemayX.com features this sponsor video on our web pages. And with a few simple clicks, the Chalfonte was able to stream this branded digital video short onto their own site. How cool is that? And for each new website that streams this content, the potential audience grows accordingly. Which means more people see your business, product or service in all its digital film glory.

Google finds capemayX stories faster

If you're a business in town looking for an edge in your online, and off-line marketing efforts, you might find it interesting that more capemayX.com stories are being indexed to google searches faster.

google search result: cape may ice cream
We track all stories to gauge audience interest, but also to see how quickly Google may pick up the story in their index. Because after all they have to index a story before it appears in a search result. We've mentioned in past posts how we've built capemayX.com from the ground up to provide relevant, targeted, interesting content so that people will read it, and so it has the greatest chance to appear in a search result. Two stories we've run recently show just how much success we're achieving both in position and speed with which we're picked up and indexed on page one for non-paid for search.

Lulu's Cape May Gallery Crab Cake Fund Raiser Night Out

Lulu%20gallery%20520%20030.jpg

What a great night out

Many thanks to all the great people that attended the Lulu's Cafe Gallery event. We got a chance to present some of our favorite capemaX photography, we raised money for the animal shelter that burned down, and Lulu's Cafe featured the best new crab cakes in South Jersey (now serving at night). And because it's worth repeating, the new Lulu's crabcakes are the best in South Jersey, if not some of the best on the whole eastern seaboard. Just as delicious as you would imagine how a perfect crab cake should taste, and we plan a follow-up story to get the details on what makes them so tasty good.

Canvas Prints

A beautiful night at Lulu's Cafe enjoying new Cape May perspectives
Wow, there was such a great reaction to our capemayX photography. Personally, I really appreciate that and I thank anyone and everyone who was kind enough to fire a compliment my way. It motivates me to get out there and capture more great shots that tell the ongoing stories of Cape May in unique, creative new ways. We were thrilled also, that people loved the canvas prints. They are of the highest quality and make for the perfect way to hang up our unique photographic views of Cape May in your home or office.

Cool Sticker now available for order by clicking here!
We ran a story a while back about an original, funky new Cape May car sticker our design department created. :O) And even though the initial feedback was stupendous, we never actually went live with the idea. CapemayX viewers emailed that they loved the cool summery blue that fills the familiar oval shape you see on car stickers everywhere. And the unique reversed hand forged CM type that is both striking and easy to read. And of course, our original tag line — Cape May. It's a shore thing® — a creative way to declare one's love of all things Cape May as you barrel down the highway to greet the business end of an Ocean Burger before the taste buds mutiny!

Google has found capemayX!

head.crop5.jpg CapemayX's Michael Longfellow speaks to local businesses looking to gain a competitive edge for their online marketing initiatives. The takeaway message: capemayX stories are starting to rate at the top of many targeted Google searches so you should consider our sponsor opportunities for your Cape May business or service.

CapemayX has received terrific feedback about our photography, our one of a kind video interviews, super easy sharing tools, and unique approach to covering Cape May stories. But the real benefit to Cape May businesses and visitors is when the major search engines start ranking our unique content at the top of specific, relevant searches. That's happening right now and we're thrilled.

Relevance

In the online search world, relevance is the name of the game. If content is not relevant and plugged in to the search engines correctly (a whole 'nother discussion and critical in this process), it's difficult to appear in the top of a search result. These days, people research online before arriving in town: accommodations, restaurants, activities, history, everything. And even when they arrive, they might search more since wireless is so ubiquitous and accessible. Search is how people discover, and search engines reward sites that build relevant content that changes often and stays focused on a site's niche. Relevance matters and we've built capemayX from the ground up with this as a strategic goal..

Case in Point

Words are great, but it's results that count so let's look at some examples of how capemayX stories play out in a typical search.
