I love the Cape May Type ®

Follow our new photo series

We're happy to start a new capemayX photo series: I Love the Cape May Type ® that celebrates the interesting and wide ranging typography that communicates the signs of the times throughout Cape May.

We've happily discovered that when you're mind is geared up to shoot photographs, it notices things that may have gone unnoticed for years, even though you pass them all the time in the course of a day. Case in point is this funky old wall sign on the outskirts of town. This typography harkens back to an older time. Certainly the building is old and beat up, and might even be closed down. But the unique the colors and vibrant typography contrasting against the blue sky are so interesting and alive. We plan a return visit to capture the same image at sunrise (and sunset too maybe), to see how magic light affects the colors and feel. Stay tuned for more of the "I love the Cape May Type®" series. And if you have your own ideas or images to contribute, send us an email. We'd love to hear and see them. :O)
