The sun had just poked up off the horizon to our back, lighting up this perfect scene. Check out how the light rays clip the top of the Cape May's famous sunken cement ship. This guy clearly understands how to start out the day right.

Places and scenes like this can have a meditative effect. On me, at least. When one engages the day early and bears witness to scenes of such natural beauty and quiet solitude, it seems to provide energy for the entire day. It also makes one realize there really is no excuse for not getting up early every day.

And engaging.
