Cape May Banner Art

The current top banner displays a wonderful painting by Sam Dellworth entitled Wharf Rat. This original has a subdued LeRoy Neiman-esque crosss hatched strokes feel to it, sans the brilliant splattery colors that mark his style. What really draws me in are the lights, shadows and simple shapes. This Cape May inspired spot is most likely down by the Lobster House, or along the Marina, judging from the pylon shapes. But my favorite part is how the painting says Cape May and doesn't say Cape May at the same time. Now there's some art critic double talk. We've included the full version (versus the croppd banner version). Just click on the thumbnail to the right.
