Cape May's Best Gazpacho at Depot

gazpacho.bowl.ds.jpg The Depot Market Cafe serves up a great bowl of Gazpacho — the best I've found in Cape May. It tastes super fresh, is seasoned just right, has perfect consistency (I never liked huge chunks of veggies in my gazpacho), and is the perfect anecdote ;0) to a hot summer day. According to seasoned Depot Chef Joe, the gazpacho recipe belongs to fellow Depot Chef veteran John-O, a man who loves his work as evident by the extra care he takes when cutting the fresh ingredients into uniform little pieces. Apparently he even de-seeds the cucumbers. 552666-414221-thumbnail.jpg
Joe and Brooke: Depot purveyors of great taste
That attention to detail pays off big as this summer classic hits all the right notes for refreshing home made taste. And at only $4.95 for a generous size bowl, that's good taste that feels good. Thanks to Joe and Jose (and Brooke) for hooking me up with the Salsa Verde side dish (Jose's Salsa Verde rules). Depot Market Cafe: on 409 Elmira Street next to the bus terminal and train station. phone: 884-8030.
