I've received nice compliments on our October feature banner photos. Thanks! Until now, we haven't figured out a way to present multiple shots simply and easily within capemayX, so people could experience a photo series.
After a bit of comparison shopping online, we're going to use Flickr (for now) — an amazing photo sharing service — to help solve the problem of showing multiple photos at once. I'm sure I'm a bit late to the Flickr party, but even still, it only took a few hours to learn this fantastic resource can greatly help with the sharing, viewing and searching of photos world wide. I would highly recommend Flickr to anyone with an interest in photography or the visual arts at any level — consumer or professional.
So now with my shiny new Flickr account, when I post Cape May shots other people with an interest in Cape May photos can find mine, and I can find and view theirs. And with photo comments communities can build very quickly around any subject. One of their secrets is "tagging", which simply means that when I post a photo I include words — tags — that help categorize the shot. The beauty here is I don't have to be anal (which I'm definitely not) about my categorizing system. I can just pick words that make sense and more than likely others can find my photos by searching from within Flickr using the same words. Try it — go to the flickr site and type "Cape May" in the search box and see what you get! It's fun to explore.
Even though Flickr exists outside the capemayX arena (meaning if you click to see a capemayX.com slideshow I've posted on Flickr you'll go to their site), that's OK. You should check out and discover their excellent tools to watch slide shows, view photos in larger sizes, and see what other photographers are doing from around the world.
I figured a way to post a Flickr slide show directly into capemayX stories, as shown below. It was a little tricky (meaning I hope it's stable across multiple platforms) but I think the solution is solid. I'd love to hear thoughts from capemayX viewers, as we're doing this to maximize the viewing experience for our audience.
Of course, you can also view capemayX flickr shots by clicking here. We will of course remind people in future posts that our Flickr account will have the full archive of all capemayX shots that can bee easily viewed, shared, and enjoyed!
We will use this approach to bring viewers a great experience when viewing multiple photos on capemayX.com. We're really excited about the creative possibilities so stay tuned. Most likely we'll aggregate all capemayX.com photos onto Flcikr, so there will always be a complete reference for people to browse, and we'll feature slideshows when we have a multiple shot story to tell.

Check this out... put your cursor over the top part of the slideshow area, and also the bottom part to discover simple navigation to view the slideshow. And if you click directly on an image, you'll get a more detailed description for each photo. Cool!
