New 2009 Cape May Gift Calendar now Available

We featured the new Calendar at last
night's Life Rolls On fund raising event. We are thrilled to announce the availability of our new 2009 Cape May Captured wall calendar. The new version, the second limited edition follows the sell out success we had with last year's calendar, and again presents the unique photographic voice of Michael Jordan Longfellow. Calendar features include high quality production details such as the large format (19 inches by 13.5 inches) calendar, beautiful full color photo reproduction printing on a textured linen paper, and new customizing options so local businesses can add their brand to a small print run, creating the perfect marketing tool that connects your Cape May brand to, well, the beautiful Cape May brand. Capturing Cape May in Photographs

We're experimenting with a new capemayX.com banner effect that dissolves from photograph to photograph. This approach provides a simple and elegant way to cycle through a number of Cape May photographs site wide. For the Cape May visitor (and of course for locals who stop by), they get to see more images of this beautiful town, its beaches and architecture through all the seasons. We're going to mix it up for a while (the photos) just to get a good feel for what works best in terms of size, length of time for each shot, and number of photograhs to include for each series.

Presenting the Stories, Images and Beauty that are Cape May

Most likely we'll utilize this effect to more creativity present our Cape May photography that's been captured in a series of shots. Say, for example, we wanted to show a series of sunset shots from a beautiful summer's night. Or photos captured from a recent storm. We'll still be updating the images frequently, so be sure to check back and thanks for any feedback.

Great way to promote

We also plan to use the rotating banners in promotions we offer. So stay tuned and thanks so much for stopping by.

3rd Annual Life Rolls On Foundation, East Coast Golf Tournament

capemayX.com Website Changes

I've received many emails asking about the periodic changes in the way capemayX looks. Well, we've definitely been in the labs testing new layouts and looks, and even today we've posted a newer graphic look just to see how it works and feels in the real world.

We've been testing a number of new looks and layouts, and are getting very close to the final release. I'm always amazed how difficult it can be to keep things simple, useful, and beautiful. The big irony is that simple and easy are infinitely more difficult than complicated and hard. (ha! it's true) But rest assured, we are working diligently so the final result creates the simplest to use, most visually appealing website for Cape May visitors and locals alike.

So thanks for the continued interest (and support). And keep sending emails if you have any questions or ideas. We'll be posting the new site design in short order. )

Stay tuned... we'll continue to post great photography (and if you haven't noticed, we change the main banner photograph just about every day!!) and will have the new site redesign launched very soon.
